Soak the oats in water for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight, if you like. Drain and rinse, discarding the soaking water. Mix with the fresh measure of water, then strain through a muslin (cheesecloth). Store in the fridge. It is my go to smoothie milk, simply blitzed with ingredient of choice and a handful of frozen blueberries. Yum

  • 60 g (2 oz/ cup) oats

- 750 ml (25 oz/3 cups) water, plus extra to taste
