This homemade Tamari dressing is an excellent alternative to Soya sauce, especially for people with a sensitivity to gluten. Tamari in Japanese has several meanings. Interestingly one of the meanings is ‘waiting place for a sumo wrestler beside the ring.’ Lucky for you it won’t take too many moves for you to make this recipe. Tamari originated from Japan and can be used in many dishes. From sushi, to stews, stir fries and salads so this vegan dressing is a definitely a champion recipe.
Champion Tamari Vegan Dressing Recipe
- For the Tamari Dressing
- 60 ml tamari or soy sauce
- juice of 1/2 lime
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1/2 garlic clove, peeled and grated
- Combine all the dressing ingredients together in a jar.
- Pop on the lid and give it a good shake. Use what you need and keep the rest in the jar in the fridge for up to a week.
